The GRC (governance, risk management, & compliance) industry is somewhat 'broken'. Current systems focus on monitoring data to report on risk and compliance, and also tie corporate policy to Regulations. They do this very well, but that is also all that they do. In an industry that needs real-time monitoring to effectively navigate and avoid risky decisions, STEPPS was created. STEPPS ties corporate policy to internal controls, giving companies the power to actively enforce policy by focusing on people and daily activities. This does NOT exist, until now. Gone are the days of monitoring past events and correcting transacted mistakes. Such a reactive approach takes away valuable time, resources, and money from Companies that need to focus on the here and now.
