The career of a DJ depends heavily on their ability to innovate and consistently perform well. There's a huge variety of equipment choices already available, allowing live improvisation, sampling and remixing. But something is missing. The majority of DJs perform with standard gear, due in large part to its reliability and popularity. At Sonabos, we believe there should be greater opportunity for DJs to innovate live. Novel equipment setups, including those that require a laptop, can now be used for live performances without risking failure and audio cutout. Our SetSaver functionality can automatically prevent equipment failure from interrupting a performance. It beatmatches and smoothly transitions to backup music, allowing the DJ to address the problem without the fans noticing. The hardware we are developing can do more than just save sets, however. Digital recording, collaboration tools, and more will make our device a versatile platform that is valuable for every DJ.
