We are using nanotechnology to target specific proteins and concentrate them by a factor of 1,000, at which point they are immediately delivered to an innovative, low-cost biosensor. Preconcentrating and quantifying relevant proteins on an integrated platform allows us to achieve a level of sensitivity that supersedes that of existing devices; as a result, only 5 µL of blood is required to detect multiple proteins in a just a few minutes’ time.
