In the joyous tradition of movies like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "Hummus for the Holidays" is a boisterous, cross-cultural drama/comedy about an Arab-American teenage girl—Jessamyn "Jessy” Haded—who falls in love with an All-American boy. In 1978, she navigates the choppy waters of growing up and falling in love while under the watchful eye of her traditional father, Samir. Amr Waked ("Lucy," "Salmon Fishing on the Yemen" and Oscar-nominated "Syriana" is slated to play the principal role of the father. He's also come on board as a producer for this feature film.
