We believe in respect of personal data privacy, controlled and mediated by its owners. But internet transactions suffer severely from security and privacy threats as well as invasive collection of personal data. The consequences are multiple: loss of privacy, loss of anonymity, mining and profiling of personal data, no forgiveness, and no control. This is attributed to the large centralized servers’ model, malicious users and sophisticated tracking tools. We address all of these growing issues with Tego. Tego is a simple stand-alone device packed with smart applications that empowers users to secure and manage their personal data in a controlled way while protecting their privacy. Tego is designed with three levels of innovation. First user’s privacy is achieved with a decentralized P2P approach. Secondly, anonymity is achieved with communication obfuscation; third, confidentiality is achieved through the use of specific encryption.
