LifeServe’s patent-pending Cobra Tracheostomy device performs percutaneous tracheostomy (PT) that is simple, safe and effective for use by a broader range physicians than current products. The Cobra is less complex and more ergonomic to satisfy demands for simplified and empowering PT devices that require less experience to master, reduced time per procedure and can be performed at the bedside by a broader array of physicians. Tracheostomy procedures are performed on more than 120,000 U.S. citizens annually, however fewer than 60% are performed using PT, a cost-effective procedure. Broad adoption of bedside PT with the Cobra has a potential annual cost savings of at least $230M in the U.S.
