Drink Crate uses crowd-sourcing to create lovable brands of wine, beer, and spirits. Each month the Drink Crate team sources a supplier of high-quality drinks and asks the crowd to design the name, logo, and feel of a brand for that batch. After receiving crowd feedback, Drink Crate chooses a winner and commissions thousands of bottles to be produced using that brand. The bottles are then sold exclusively through DrinkCrate.com. Successful brands can be repeated in following months or sold to major alcohol producers. We are hosting our first contest in November 2014 to create a brand for a red wine blend. This will give us numbers of designs submitted and number of people voting on the website, as well as raising $6,500 on Kickstarter to buy the initial pallet of wine.
