Digital Health Tools for Family Caregivers

About

Caring in Place is a technology platform that helps family members learn to become family caregivers for their aging loved ones. Through our iPhone app, Android app, and web portal, family members learn what to do, when to do it, and how to care for their aging loved ones. Caring in Place also enables caregivers to coordinate care among other family members, friends, neighbors, and even paid caregivers. There are currently 44 million family caregivers in the US alone. These caregivers (typically described as 45-54 year old females - and often the eldest daughter of the aging loved one) control 72% of all expenditures made on behalf of the aging population. As such, they represent the a valuable persona for all healthcare organizations interested in supporting the senior population. Caring in Place helps these healthcare entities (e.g., payers, providers, assisted living, home health, EHRs, SNFs, device manufacturers) gain access to family caregivers by helping to solve their problems
